EASE-R3 considers standardization activities as an important instrument to enhance the transfer of research results into practice and on the market even after the end of the project. EASE-R3 is therefore delighted to be invited to attend the meeting of ISO/TC 39/SC 2Â Test conditions for metal cutting machine tools on May 11th in order to discuss some of the research results with the experts of the ISO/TC subcommittee. The meeting will be held in Stuttgart at the Institute of Machine Tools at University Stuttgart.
The next European conference Industrial Technologies will be held on 22-24 of June in the RAI Amsterdam. The conference is focused on the field of new production technologies, materials, nanotechnology, biotechnology and digitalization in Europe.
During these days (2-3.11.2015) the 3rd International Conference on Stone and Concrete Machining is being held in Bochum, Germany. This conference addresses professionals from industry and research to present and discuss the latest developments around the machining and the processing of stone and concrete in industrial applications, as well as advances in tool materials and surface engineering with a focus on heat treatment and manufacturing.

The Researchers' Night is an event organized by the European Commission (the 10th anniversary is celebrated this year http://ec.europa.eu/research/researchersnight/index_en.htm) to approach citizens to the research world. Simultaneously in 280 cities across Europe, on September 25th, visitors will be able to take part in experiments, try innovative technologies and become scientists for a night. This year, schools will be deeply involved in the event.
From 9th to 11th of September the International Conference on Innovative Technologies, IN-TECH 2015, will be hosted in Dubrovnik, Croatia. ÃdÃ¡m Kocsis and IstvÃ¡n NÃ©meth, researchers at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, will present the paper entitled "Clustered preventive maintenance scheduling for production machinery". The investigation will be presented on 10th of September from 11:20 to 11:40. This work is funded by the EASE-R3 project.
The 2nd International Conference on Augmented and Virtual Reality (SALENTO AVR 2015) is taking place in Lecce (Italy) from August 31 to September 3, 2015 with the aim to bring together a community of researchers from academia and industry, computer scientists, engineers and physicians in order to share points of views, knowledge, experiences and scientific and technical results, related to state-of-the-art solutions and technologies on virtual and augmented reality applications for medicine, cultural heritage, education, industrial sectors, as well as the demonstration of advanced products and technologies.
From 10th to 12th of June the 7th International Conference on Intelligent Technologies for Interactive Entertainment will be hosted in Torino, Italy. Federico Manuri and Giovanni Piumatti, researchers at Politecnico di Torino, will be the responsibles for presenting the Preliminary study of a Hybrid user interface for augmented reality applications. The investigation will be presented on 10th of June at the Paper session 2: HCI 1, from 17:00 to 18:40. This work is funded by the EASE-R3 project.
The M18 general meeting of EASE-R3 project was held on February 10-11th at IK4-IDEKO and EKIN facilities in Spain. The meeting was planned in order to present various achievements of the first 18 months to the Project Technical Advisor, Dimitrios Bechrakis.
The 16M meeting of EASE-R3 project is taking place in POLITO today (15th of October). This meeting is held in order to update the last activities and make a plan of the tasks that each participant is going to carry out during the following months. Tomorrow we will held the ESS - Exploitation Strategy Seminar to identify the risks and potential obstacles for exploitation.
